What is Palisade Fence?
A palisade fence is a high-security perimeter barrier constructed from vertical steel pales (also known as pickets) attached to horizontal rails and supported by sturdy posts. These fences are designed to deter unauthorized access and are commonly used in industrial, commercial, and high-risk residential areas. The pointed or rounded tops of the pales enhance the fence's defensive capabilities, making it difficult for intruders to climb.
Palisade fencing is made of hard steel plate roled without mesh and frame structure, it is beautiful, durable and very easy to transpor and instal. Steel Palisade Fence with a wide variety of colors to choose from, many countries have used it to replace the traditional brick walls and heavy wirefences and wooden fences, palisade fences are widely used in yards, garden, airports, factories, ports of entry etc.
Palisade Security Fencing is an excellent choice for outdoor use when a higher level of security is required and the architectural appearance of the fence is important. Palisade fencing is designed to look intimidating with sharp edges and points to deter climbing.
To make a fence difficult to climb your palisade security fence should be high with no footholds. Palisade fencing can be 3.6metres high in a single pale. And as you go to high security variants of palisade fencing the pales become closer together creating smaller spaces, way to small to gain a foothold.
To make palisade fencing even harder to climb, you could add an additional topping such as Y or T extensions with barbed or razor wire. Instead of additional toppings, Barkers can curve the pales of the palisade fencing outwards. This makes the fence even more intimidating and is perceived as being even harder to climb.

Strong structure: Palisade fence is made of high-strength steel, providing extremely high impact resistance and durability.
Strong corrosion resistance: The surface is hot-dip galvanized or spray-coated, with good anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties.
Beautiful appearance: Beautiful appearance, simple design, suitable for various environments.
Easy installation: prefabricated components, on-site assembly, easy and quick installation.
Low maintenance cost: Strong durability, palisade fence basically requires no maintenance and has a long service life.
Safety: Spire design, difficult to climb, effectively prevent intrusion.
Surface Treatment of Palisade Fence
● Hot Dipped Galvanized
Through the Hot dipped galvanizing process after welding, a protective layer is formed on the steel surface. This coating can effectively prevent oxidation corrosion and prolong the service life of steel.
● PVC Coating (Plastic Coating) or Powder Coating after galvanized.
We choose high quality powder for spraying, which combines with the galvanized layer on the steel surface to form a more effective protective layer. It can better prevent the steel from oxidation and corrosion, Therefore, our fencing system can stay beautiful and strong for a longer time, and this treatment will make the fence more beautiful.
Installation
Buried in earth or concrete.
Bolted on concrete foundation.
Probably the biggest difference between mesh and palisade is the installation. Typically, mesh system is 10% shorter at the centre of the post than a fence, which means more holes need to be dug and more concrete poured.
While palisade usually requires fewer holes to be dug, it is made up of smaller blocks and requires crossbars to be inserted into the posts and the pales being fixed to the rails.
Application Scenarios of Palisade Fence
Palisade Fence has a wide range of applications and can be used around your homes, factories, parks, municipalities, etc. Barbed wire or razor wire can be installed on top of the fence to improve the security of the fence.
Palisade vs. Mesh Fencing: A Comparative Overview
| Feature | Palisade Fencing | Mesh Fencing |
| Security Level | High (due to sharp pales and sturdy design) | Moderate (less difficult to climb) |
| Visibility | High (open design allows clear sightlines) | Moderate (depending on mesh density) |
| Maintenance | Low (durable materials require minimal upkeep) | Moderate (may require regular checks) |
| Cost | Higher (due to material and manufacturing) | Lower (more economical option) |
| Aesthetics | Industrial appearance | More versatile designs available |
